Scope and Contents
St. Joseph Monastery (1852) in St. Marys, Pennsylvania was the first foundation of Benedictine women in North America. This tribute marks its closing in 2014. Because her monastery was closing, Sister Victoria Marconi, OSB transferred her vows to St. Scholastica Monastery in Chicago, Illinois.
