Scope and Contents
After moving to the new Saint Joseph Parish location, following the Great Chicago Fire, the Sisters built a combined convent and school for girls-day students and boarders. The convent and school shared the name of Sts. Benedict and Scholastica. This convent served as the mother house of the community until the new building was built on Ridge Boulevard in 1906. The school operated until 1918.
