Scope and Contents
Sister Patricia Crowley, OSB served two terms as prioress of the Benedictine Sisters of Chicago, from 2007-2011 and 2011-2015. Major events during her term of office were the closing of Saint Scholastica Academy in Chicago, the Apostolic Visitation of women's communities in North America, and the Doctrinal Assessment of the Leadership Conference of Women Religious (LCWR).
For the most part, Sister Patricia Crowley, OSB's papers are arranged with the titles and order that she gave them in her files. They represent work she did within Saint Scholastica Monastery, the wider Benedictine world, and the Catholic Church.
