 Series — Box: OSBCHI-D-KALECALL-1, Folder: 6

Scope and Contents

From the Collection:

This collection consists of biograhical information and personal papers. Biographical information includes materials such as a personal data sheet, a diploma, jubilee worship aids, photographs, and teaching certificates. Personal papers contain materials from Sister's personal life as a woman religious, and her professional life as musician, teacher, and music instructor. Materials related to her personal life include her father's citation from the American Legion, her academic transcripts, her correspondence, and more. Her professional life is represented in a series of music programs from community events and liturgies, which she usually either directed or served as the organist, and Saint Scholastica High School Chicago student recitals, for which she often served as an accompanist on the piano. Also included are music programs from external organizations and events in which Sister was involved either as a pianist or organist, and Sister's handwritten sheet music journal and notes. Finally, news clippings and awards demonstrate how Sister was known and celebrated both within the community, and in the outside world.
