This collection contains biographical information and personal papers. Biographical information includes a personal data sheet, nearest of kin contact information, ministry lists, professional credentials, curriculum vitae, jubilee worship aids and photographs.

Personal papers include a variety of materials related to her professional and spiritual life. Reflections and homilies dated from 1978 to 2018 include liturgies given throughout the liturgical year, on special feast days, events, funerals and Benedictine tributes. Her personal correspondence includes e-mails, notes, postcards, itineraries from foreign countries, and letters to and from members of the Benedictine Community. Newsletters from the Institute for Spiritual Leadership feature articles written both by and about Sister Patricia Coughlin, OSB, mainly about her work in dream interpretation and in spiritual direction. Throughout her career Sister oragnized and hosted various retreats, workshops, and presentations. One such presentation sponsored by the National Sisters Vocation Conference explores the various stages of religious formation.
