Scope and Contents
The illustrated portfolio Barnsånger contains sheet music with lyrics for children's songs in Swedish. Inside the front cover is an English translation of the lyrics with handwritten annotations by Sister Estelle Cullings, OSB. There is a letter from the composer, David Nyvall II explaining that the poems are from a collection of children's verse, composed by his father, David D. Nyvall and the engravings and book design are by his son, David Nyvall III. David D. Nyvall was the founding president of North Park University in Chicago, Illinois.
