Biographical / Historical

Sister Monica Dippert, OSB was born Emma Dippert in Baden, Germany on January 22nd, 1870. She immigrated to the United States in 1906, joining the community on July 10th, 1909. She made her perpetual vows in 1914. Sister Monica performed many vital tasks within the community, and in early 1920 was charged with the care of the school lunchroom. After a long illness, Sister passed away at the age of 60, on January 16th, 1931, and was buried in Calvary Cemetery.
