Biographical / Historical

Sister Eugene Frank, OSB, the younger natural sister of Sister Agatha Frank, was born the Magdalena in Allegheny, Pennsylvania on April 11th, 1860. She joined the community in 1889, making her final profession on January 1st, 1894.

Sister taught at Saint Joseph School in Chicago, as well as at Saint Scholastica Academy in Canon City, Colorado. However, for most of her life she served in internal ministries. This included managing the Altar Bread Department for several years.

Sister died on December 29th, 1936 of a stroke, and is buried in Chicago at the Saint Boniface Cemetery.
