Biographical / Historical
Sister Francesca Garrett, OSB was born Evelyn Mary on April 17th, 1927 in Chicago, Illinois. She entered the community on Spetember 16th, 1945, making her final vows on August 17th, 1950.
Sister studied at Loyola University, Mt. St. Scholastica in Atchison, Kansas, Notre Dame University, Art Institute Chicago, and DePaul University Chicago. She served as teacher at the Queen of All Saints School, and as an art director and teacher at St. Scholastica High School in Chicago. She also taught grades 3-8 at St. Hilary and St. Joseph in Chicago, and St. Michael in Canon City, Colorado.
Sister left the community on July 18th, 1967.
