This collection consists of biographical information and personal papers such as a personal data sheet, ministry lists, nearest of kin, and a transcript from St. Scholastica High School. It also includes photographs, 2 pieces of correspondence (one of which is archival inquiry), community and newspaper obituaries, prayer cards, and a scapular.

Biographical / Historical
Sister Marie Rose Gorman, OSB was born Susan Loretto in Chicago, Illinois on November 6th, 1886 to Irish immigrant parents. Sister first entered the community on June 3rd, 1926, before leaving on account of illness. She rejoined on January 3rd, 1927, making her perpetual profession at St. Joseph's Convent in Salida, Colorado on January 12th, 1932.
Sister attended St. Scholastica High School Chicago before serving as a teacher in several schools across Colorado, including St. Michael School in Canon City, St. Leander in Pueblo, and St. Joseph in Salida. She also taught at St. Scholastica High School in Chicago as a study prefect and religion teacher, despite suffering from arthritis.
The Gorman family gifted the community the auditorium altar.
Sister died on October 4th, 1962 at the age of 76, and is buried in the All Saints Cemetery in Desplaines, Illinois.
