Biographical / Historical

Sister Theophane Grom, OSB was born Mary Antonette on November 30th, 1916 in Waukegan, Illinois to Yugoslavian parents. She joined the community on September 7th, 1935, making her first profession on August 16th, 1937.

Sister left the community on August 16th, 1940. She later served as lay teacher at Mother of God School under her married name, Mrs. Victor Petrovic, or Mary Petrovic.

She died on March 6th, 2002 at the age of 85, and is buried at Ascension Cemetery in Illinois.
