This collection consists of biographical information and limited personal papers. It includes photographs, transcripts, correspondence, a thank-you note and dedication from her 1967 prefect class, a teaching evaluation, a personal data sheet, ministry lists, nearest of kin, and a Denver Teacher Certificate.

Biographical / Historical
Sister Mary Ann Harrington, OSB (also known as Mary John) was born Mary Ann on March 29th, 1941 in Chicago, Illinois. She entered the community on September 12th, 1959, making her first vows on August 16th, 1961.
Sister graduated from Mundelein College with a BS in Biology in 1966, and from Michigan State University with a Master of Science in 1971. In Colorado, she served as a teacher at St. Leanders in Pueblo and at St. Scholastica Academy in Canon City. In Chicago, she taught at Queen of All Saints and at St. Scholastica High School Chicago. At St. Scholastica, Sister taught classes such as advanced anatomy, math, and biology, and served as a co-moderator of the Alumnae Assocation. Besides teaching, Sister was a gifted pianist and organist.
Sister left the community on September 2nd, 1975.
