Biographical / Historical

Sister Patricia Hartmann, OSB was born Patricia Laverne on March 10th, 1935 in Chicago, Illinois. She entered the community on September 7th, 1953, making her final profession on August 16th, 1958.

Sister graduated from St. Scholastica High School Chicago before attending St. Procopius College in Lisle, Illinois and DePaul University in Chicago. She then earned a Ph.B. in Education and Philosophy. Sister taught in various schools in Illinois, including St. George, Queen of All Saints, and St. Lambert in Skokie. She also taught grade 6 at St. Mary's in Pueblo, Colorado.

Sister left the community on September 21st, 1968.
