Biographical / Historical
Sister Zita Herdegen, OSB was born Margaret on October 3rd, 1874 in Ratisbon, Bavaria. She entered the community on August 30th, 1899, making her final profession on September 3rd, 1904.
In May of 1908, Sister was committed to St. Vincent's Institution in St. Louis, Missouri. She died there at the age of 37 on September 9th, 1912, and is buried in St. Louis.
