Biographical / Historical
Sister Philip Herder, OSB was born Leona (Lennie) on August 19th, 1915 in Pueblo, Colorado. A talented organist, she was considered a musical prodigy, accompanying choirs from the time she was in grade school.  
Sister attended St. Scholastica Academy in Canon City before entering the community on September 7th, 1932. She then graduated from St. Scholastica High School Chicago in 1933.
Sister left the community in June of 1934.
