Biographical / Historical
Sister Bernarda Kraft, OSB was born Maria on March 19th, 1846 in Michelsbach, Baden (now Germany). At four years old, Sister immigrated to the United States with her parents and family. Sister was invested in the community on September 10th, 1868. She made her final profession on September 19th, 1872 in Saint Joseph Church.
Sister Bernarda was a lay sister. Little is known about her life in religion.
Sister died on October 19th, 1916, at the age of 70. She is buried in Calvary Cemetery in Evanston, Illinois.
