Biographical / Historical
Sister Sebastian Cronin, OSB was born in Leadville, Colorado on March 19, 1885. She entered the Benedictine community in October, 1909. She professed temporary vows in January, 1911 and final vows in January, 1914. She celebrated her silver jubilee in January, 1936, her golden jubilee in July, 1961, and her diamond jubilee in January, 1971. Sister Sebastian was principal of the Academy in Colorado from 1921-1933 and 1943-1950. She was also principal of St. Scholastica High School in Chicago from 1933-1942. Sister Sebastian died on February 2, 1971 at the age of 85 and is buried in All Saints Cemetery. Sister Cornelia Cronin, OSB was her natural sister.
