This collection includes press releases, two jubilee celebration worship aids, obituary notifications, funeral worship aid, funeral homily, and funeral remembrance cards. Other personal data recorded here includes birth and baptismal certificates, next of kin information, teacher certification and education programs attended. There are also materials dating back to her high school years, college diplomas, papers written for college courses. Finally there are various letters and notes from Benedictine Sisters and friends.

Biographical / Historical
Sister Mary Jude Ahern, OSB grew up in Salida, Colorado. After graduation she entered the Benedictine Sisters of Chicago in 1923. She served as a teacher in both elementary school and high School in Colorado and Chicago. As a mathematics teacher she had the ability to work with both bright students and those students not gifted in mathematics. She served as the assistant principal for administrative services beginning in 1950 and worked with 7 different principals at St. Scholastica Academy in Chicago.
