Biographical / Historical

Sister Evangelista Amundson, OSB was born in Beloit, Wisconsin in 1898. She attended school at the Academy in Canon City, Colorado. She entered the community on January 6, 1917. Sister served as a faculty member at St. Joseph School in Salida,Colorado. She was dispensed from her perpetual vows, but served at the Academy until the dispensation became final. Sister Evangelista unfortunately suffered from mental illness.
