This collection includes a personal data sheet, an archives newsletter index, a letter written by Sister Vivian Ivantic, OSB to a relative providing a sketch of Sister Christina Basel, OSB life, faculty and student listing from St. Michael's School, a family sketch from Sister Geraldine Stock, OSB, and vows written in Latin in 1894 and 1897. Finally, 3 copies of Sister Christina Basel, OSB obituaries were included.

Biographical / Historical
Sister Christina Basel, OSB was born in Bavaria, Germany in 1870. She entered the Benedictine Community in August, 1892, was professed in August, 1897, and celebrated her silver jubilee in August, 1922. Sister was stationed at Fourteen Holy Martyrs School in Baltimore, was superior and teacher at Mother of God School in Waukegan, taught at St. John Nepomucene in Chicago, taught at both St. Mary's School in Pueblo and St. Michael's School in Canon City, Colorado. Sister died at the age of 52 in Pueblo and is buried there in Roselawn Cemetery.
