Biographical / Historical

Sister Janelle Brence, OSB (Sister Damian) was born in 1938. She entered the Benedictine Sisters of Chicago in September 1956. She professed final vows in August 1961. She celebrated her silver jubilee in June 1983. Sister Janelle served in the capacities of teacher, pastoral minister, hospital chaplain, and camp director. Her ministries were located in Chicago, Skokie, Waukegan, Pueble, Canon City, and Albuquerque. Sister Janelle Brence, OSB was dispensed from her vows on January 1, 1987.
