From 1976 to 1977, Sister Jeanne studied for a Master's degree in Pastoral Ministry at Saint Paul University in Ottawa. This sub-series includes her application and immigration materials, a student ID card, class assignments, reflections, reports, correspondence to family and friends written during her time at the University, an evaluation from her supervisor, letters of recommendation solicited after graduation, and more.

Biographical information includes numerous photographs of her and her ministries, a personal data sheet, jubilee and funeral materials, diplomas, ministry lists, nearest of kin, community and newspaper obituaries and more. This sub-series includes materials from Sister Jeanne's work at St. Thomas More Hospital. At the hospital she directed the Adult Day Care Program for senior and disabled adults, the Community Outreach program, and led multiple workshops such as "Aging...and the Care-taker's dilemma."

Sister Jeanne Hegarty, OSB gave and facilliated numerous presentations, classes, and workshops over the course of her career. These were given at a variety of institutions, churches, and care centers, and generally revolved around the themes of illness, aging, and caregiving. This subseries includes Sister's presentation and workshop notes, outlines, announcements, and evaluations. It also includes letters of recommendation written for Sister Jeanne based on her skill as a presentor.

This sub-series contains materials related to Sister Jeanne's clinical pastoral education (CPE training). It primarily includes applications to study, reflections, and student evaluations. Sister completed a program with the Bethesda Hospital and Commununity Mental Health Center in Denver, Colorado from June to August 1979, as well as at the Benedictine Nursing Center in Mt. Angel, Oregon, from February to May of 1986.
