Scope and Contents Sister Vivian Ivantic, OSB created this scrapbook to document the archival research trip that she and Sister Eleanor Hillenbrand, OSB made to Colorado in the Spring of 1991. Their local guides were Sister Amy Campbell, OSB, Sister Jeanne Hegarty, OSB, and Sister Dorothy Van Alstyne, OSB. In addition to many towns where our Sisters held Summer Schools of Religion, they also spent time at more established Benedictine centers of education and faith like Saint Scholastica Academy in Cañon...

Scope and Contents

Despite the Benedictine Sisters of Chicago's 40-year presence in Florence, Colorado, this sub-series is relatively slim. Beyond a two-page list of Sisters who taught vacation schools in the town, the only other material included are two images of a statue of St. Benedict taken outside St. Benedict Church during a 1991 archive trip to Colorado.

Scope and Contents

Sister Vivian Ivantic, OSB compiled the list of Sisters who taught vacation schools and weekend religious education at Christ the King Church in Portland, Colorado, from 1930 to 1945. At the time, Christ the King Church was a mission of St. Benedict Church in Florence, Colorado. Also included are two photographs from the 1991 archives trip to Colorado.
