Biographical Note
Sr. Clementine Braun was born on November 2, 1854, location unknown. Her family name was originally Braunroth, but it is unknown when it was changed. She made her vows at the St. Walburga Convent in Elizabeth, New Jersey, before spending some time as a member of the Convent of the Annunciation in Nebraska City, Nebraska. On June 13, 1904, she joined the Benedictine Sisters of Chicago, where she remained the rest of her life.
