This sub-series is primarily comprised of lists of Sisters who taught vacation schools in Alamosa, Colorado. The Benedictine Sisters of Chicago had a large presence in the town, especially earlier in the 20th century. A pamphlet about the history of the Sacred Heart Church, a copy of some pages from "Our Community," and an Archives Newsletter are also included.

This sub-series details the summer schools of religion run by the Benedictine Sisters of Chicago at various instituions in Cañon City, Colorado, from 1929 to 1965. Sections from a June, 1929 entry of the "Cathechists' Corner," written by Sr. Scholastica Hrusovsky, OSB, describe the earliest days of the city's vacation schools from a first-hand account.

There is relatively little material relating to the Benedictine Sisters of Chicago's time in Ordway, Colorado, compared to the nearly two decades the community taught vacation schools in the town. All that's contained in this sub-series is a list of the Sisters who ran Ordway's summer schools of religion and a map highlighting the town on a map.

This sub-series is mostly comprised of papers listing Sisters who taught vacation schools in Pueblo, Colorado. The only other material included is a 1959 news clipping mentioning Sr. Walburg Matern, OSB.

Scope and Contents This collection includes material related to school and parish life at Saint John Nepomucene. Material from the school includes data sheets and a small collection of memorabelia from the class of 1962 donated by Sister Joan Hentges, OSB, who was known at that time as Sister Theodore. There is also a certificate awarded in 1955 to the school children for an offering made to the Pontifical Association of the Holy Children. This sub-series is relatively slim considering the Benedictine Sisters of Chicago spent over half the 20th century teaching vacation schools in Salida, Colorado. Beyond a list of Sisters who ran the town's summer schools of religion, the only material included is a page from "Our Community" that briefly mentions Salida and a map highlighting the town's location.
