The Benedictine Sisters of Chicago had a large presence in the town, especially earlier in the 20th century. A pamphlet about the history of the Sacred Heart Church, a copy of some pages from "Our Community," and an Archives Newsletter are also included.

This thin sub-series contains an archive note describing which Sisters taught vacation schools in Alta Vista, Colorado, from 1940 to an unknown point in the 1950s. A passage from "Our Community" is included as a supplement beneath the section for 1942. It explains where Sr. Walburg Mater, OSB, and Sr. Gabrielle Pierik, OSB, taught in the town.

This sub-series contains a list of Sisters who taught vacation schools in La Junta, Colorado, from the 1930s to the 1940s. It is unclear what years some Sisters were in the town, so there may have been schools into the 1950s. An image of Sr. Anita Sheid, OSB, standing outside with a priest and several pupils appears alongside postcards of a scout troop nicknamed the "Koshare Indian Dancers," and a short book detailing the history of the Church in La Junta from 1885 to 1986.

This sub-series contains a long list of Sisters who taught vacation schools in Las Animas, Colorado, for over 30 years. Several documents relate to St. Mary Church, including a postcard of the exterior, a print of the interior, a pamphlet about the history of the parish, and a news article from the Southern Colorado Register that mentions the Benedictine Sisters of Chicago. A postcard from Leadville, Colorado, is also included, but the reason is unclear.

This sub-series contains an archives note listing the Sisters who taught vacation schools in Rocky Ford, Colorado, along with a couple news clippings of events relating to the Benedictine Sisters of Chicago's presence in the town. Also included is a photograph of several pupils from one summer, although the year is unknown, and it appears they do not comprise the whole class, as there are more children cut off on the right left side of the frame.

Several news clippings relating to Our Lady of the Assumption appear next, including a 1945 story from The Southern Colorado Register about the summer school of religion. Some other documents revolve around the parish's establishment and how the Benedictine Sisters of Chicago became involved. Westcliffe is where the community taught its first vacation school...
