This sub-series is primarily comprised of lists of Sisters who taught vacation schools in Alamosa, Colorado. The Benedictine Sisters of Chicago had a large presence in the town, especially earlier in the 20th century. A pamphlet about the history of the Sacred Heart Church, a copy of some pages from "Our Community," and an Archives Newsletter are also included.

This sub-series is comprised of a list of Sisters who taught vacation schools in Belleplaine, Colorado, along with a news clipping about St. Anne Church, and several photographs of the parish over the years, including one of Sr. Mary Bede Beck, OSB, standing outside the church with her pupils.

This sub-series details the summer schools of religion run by the Benedictine Sisters of Chicago at various instituions in Cañon City, Colorado, from 1929 to 1965. Sections from a June, 1929 entry of the "Cathechists' Corner," written by Sr. Scholastica Hrusovsky, OSB, describe the earliest days of the city's vacation schools from a first-hand account.

Scope and Contents From the Class: This class contains periodicals with content from across all areas of the archives. We store them together due to their similar material, size, and fragility. The content is related to individual Benedictine Sisters, schools staffed by Benedictine Sisters of Chicago, and to the Catholic culture of the Archdiocese of Chicago and the Diocese of Pueblo. The archives considers the context of the articles and/or the carrier of the content to be of intrinsic value so the entire page or newspaper...
