Alamosa, Colo., 1937 - 1991
This sub-series is primarily comprised of lists of Sisters who taught vacation schools in Alamosa, Colorado. The Benedictine Sisters of Chicago had a large presence in the town, especially earlier in the 20th century. A pamphlet about the history of the Sacred Heart Church, a copy of some pages from "Our Community," and an Archives Newsletter are also included.
Craig, Colo.
All this sub-series contains is a short list of which Sisters led summer schools of religion in Craig, Colorado, along with which years they taught sessions between when they first entered the town in 1937 and when they finally left in 1973. Also included is a map highlighting where Craig is located in Colorado.
Eagle, Colo., 1940 - 1989
This series contains a couple photographs of Sr. Constance Matern, OSB, and Sr. Anthony Hrusovsky, OSB, a priest, and their vacation school group outside St. Mary Church in Eagle, Colorado. Also included are some pictures taken during a 1989 archive trip Sr. Vivian Ivantic, OSB, and Sr. Eleanore Hillenbrand, OSB, took to Colorado. The list of Sisters who taught at the summer schools of religion in Eagle may be incomplete, as the second page of the list is missing.
Minturn, Colo., 1952 - 2007
This sub-series contains many photos and several news clippings relating to vacation schools the Benedictine Sisters of Chicago taught in Minturn, Colorado, from the late 1930s to late 1970s. Most material was produced during the 1950s.
Oak Creek, Colo.
The only paper in this sub-series lists the Sisters who taught in Oak Creek, Colorado, along with the summers they were stationed there throughout the 1970s and early 1980s. Some background on what brought the Benedictine Sisters of Chicago to the town, along with some anecdotes from the community's time there are also included.
Red Cliff, Colo., 1956 - 1989
This series is mostly comprised of photographs of Red Cliff, Colorado, and the vacation schools Sisters taught there. Also included are some images from a 1989 archives trip to Colorado and a list of Sisters who worked in the town from 1952 to 1977.

This sub-series is relatively slim considering the Benedictine Sisters of Chicago spent over half the 20th century teaching vacation schools in Salida, Colorado.
