A pamphlet about the history of the Sacred Heart Church, a copy of some pages from "Our Community," and an Archives Newsletter are also included.
Belleplaine, Colo., 1959 - 1990

Coal Creek, Colo., 1933 - 1955
This sub-series is comprised of a couple papers listing the Sisters who ran summer schools of religion in Coal Creek, Colorado, along with the years they worked. The 28 students who attended the 1933 vacation school taught by Sr. Leona Schmitt, OSB, appear in two photographs. Also included is "The Gleanor," an article from an unnamed publication on the coal mines surrounding CaƱon City, Colorado, which includes a description of Coal Creek prior to a 1907 fire that wrecked the town.
Eagle, Colo., 1940 - 1989
This series contains a couple photographs of Sr. Constance Matern, OSB, and Sr. Anthony Hrusovsky, OSB, a priest, and their vacation school group outside St. Mary Church in Eagle, Colorado. Also included are some pictures taken during a 1989 archive trip Sr. Vivian Ivantic, OSB, and Sr. Eleanore Hillenbrand, OSB, took to Colorado. The list of Sisters who taught at the summer schools of religion in Eagle may be incomplete, as the second page of the list is missing.

This sub-series contains many photos and several news clippings relating to vacation schools the Benedictine Sisters of Chicago taught in Minturn, Colorado, from the late 1930s to late 1970s. Most material was produced during the 1950s.
Portland, Colo., 1991-1994
Sister Vivian Ivantic, OSB compiled the list of Sisters who taught vacation schools and weekend religious education at Christ the King Church in Portland, Colorado, from 1930 to 1945.
