This history is a continuation of earlier histories of the same name. It was prepared in December 1991 for the Monastic Visitation of 1992. It includes a calendar of events for the celebration of 125 years in Chicago and 100 years in Colorado.
Montrose, Colo., 1968 - 1990
This sub-series is comprised of several maps highlighting the location of Montrose, Colorado, along with a pamphlet from St. Mary Church's 75th anniversary celebration and a 1968 Dateline Colorado story about vacation schools in the state.
Olathe, Colo., 1944
This sub-series contains a list of Sisters who taught vacation schools in Olathe, Colorado, and an image of a Sister standing alongside eight pupils. The back of the print lists the year as 1944, although there is no evidence the Benedictine Sisters of Chicago were present in the town until two decades later. There is a good chance this photograph was taken later than listed or was captured in a separate town.
