Includes the first formal request for oblate investiture from Mary Ann Vitale on October 25, 1977. There is also confirmation that Dorothy Delacoma Andries was invested as an oblate when she was a student at Saint Scholastica Academy in Chicago, Illinois on December 3, 1953. Before women's monasteries could receive oblates, some students became oblates of St. Benedict Abbey in Atchison, Kansas. These oral histories of Oblates of Saint Scholastica Monastery in Chicago, Illinois were carried out by history students from DePaul University. The first series was done in 2017, the 40th anniversary of the program which was honored at that year's Testimonial Dinner. The students created a display of several posters which were on exhibit at the dinner; photographs of those posters are included in this series.
