Scope and Contents
Includes the first formal request for oblate investiture from Mary Ann Vitale on October 25, 1977. There is also confirmation that Dorothy Delacoma Andries was invested as an oblate when she was a student at Saint Scholastica Academy in Chicago, Illinois on December 3, 1953. Before women's monasteries could receive oblates, some students became oblates of St. Benedict Abbey in Atchison, Kansas. There is an undated message from Mary Marren to the Sisters outlining her experiences at St. Scholastica in Chicago, Illinois which she attended grades 1-12.
