Scope and Contents
This series includes photocopied, typed and hand written correspondence written by, to, and about Sister Celestine. Also includes research inquiries after her death. One highlight is a handwritten letter addressed to Sister Mary Jude with unique calligraphy made by Sister Celestine in 1942. Topics discussed involve the reception of her artwork, commissions, the development of her artistic projects, and her legacy. Correspondants include Mother Adelaide, Dan Paulos, the director of Saint Bernadette Institute of Sacred Art in Albuquerque New Mexico, and Sister Judy Kramer.
