Scope and Contents

This sub-series contains the responses of elected officals to Sister Eleanore's letters on a variety of American foreign and domestic policy issues. Subjects addressed in these letters range from the Iran hostage crisis, the civil war in El Salvador, gun control, prison reform, and congressional budgets. Sister wrote to and recieved replies from a variety of prominent political figures, including former President Ronald Reagan, Senator Tammy Duckworth, former president George W. Bush, House Representative Jan Schakowsky, and Senator Edward M. Kennedy.
