Scope and Contents

From the Collection:

This collection contains biographical information and personal papers. Included in biographical information is a personal data sheet, ministry lists, diplomas, teaching certificates, jubilee and funeral materials, photographs, and more. Her personal papers give insight into her personal and professional life as a woman religious and the community's archivist. Sister maintained significant correspondence with friends, family, colleagues, elected officials, and the community. She discusses community life and times, her work as a teacher and librarian, her work as community archivist, and more. Sister's charitable donations series demonstrates the breadth of organizations with which she was connected, and the unique ways in which she provided them with material support. News clippings contain interviews with Sister in the latter part of her extraordinarily long life, and the unique perspective she had on contemporary events because of her longevity, such as the Covid-19 pandemic. Papers on Sister's professional work and employment show her commitment to maintaining community archives and parochial school libraries to industry standards, and her active involovement in the professional archives and library landscape. Finally, Sister's work on community history is evidence of her dedication to documenting, preserving, and sharing the community's legacy and history through teaching, writing, and presentation.
