This sub-series is primarily comprised of lists of Sisters who taught vacation schools in Alamosa, Colorado. The Benedictine Sisters of Chicago had a large presence in the town, especially earlier in the 20th century. A pamphlet about the history of the Sacred Heart Church, a copy of some pages from "Our Community," and an Archives Newsletter are also included.

The bulk of this collection from the Archives department consistes of Sister Vivian Ivantic, OSB correspondence and summaries or timelines of community history. There are also Sister Vivian Ivantic OSB notes on the early days of community, catalogs of the collections, seals, and the works of other researchers on the history of the community. This series details the Benedictine Sisters of Chicago's brief presence in Chandler, Colorado. Four Sisters ran a vaction school in the small coal town during the summer of 1940, which served children in Chandler, along with Williamsburg, Colorado, and Coal Creek, Colorado. Also included is an Archives Newsletter written following a 1991 archive trip Sr. Vivian Ivantic, OSB, and Sr. Eleanore Hillenbrand, OSB, took to Colorado.

Scope and Contents This sub-series contains a sheet of oral history stories from the Benedictine Sisters of Chicago's time in Crested Butte, Colorado. Originally St. Patrick Church, Sisters would later run vacation schools out of Queen of All Saints. The latter's architecture was beautiful enough to warrent a story in the Southern Colorado Register, which is also included.
