Letters, writings, and annotated prayer cards, circa 1871-1918
Scope and Contents
This series consists of the writings, letters, and annotated/autographed prayer cards of Mother Theresa Krug, most of which are photocopies rather than original documents. It includes a 1911 letter to Mother Ottilia of Navuoo, Illinois, General Chapter minutes from 1881, typed minutes from meetings of the Corporation and Board of Managers dated 1895 and 1898 respectively, Mother Theresa and Philomene's handwritten accounts of a 1915 earthquake in Italy, and a letter Mother wrote asking religious communities for financial assistance following the destruction of Saint Joseph Convent in the Great Chicago Fire of 1871. It also includes correspondence soon after and regarding her death in 1917.
