Correspondence of Eliza Allen Starr, circa 1876-1883
Scope and Contents
This series consists primarily of the correspondence of Eliza Allen Starr, an American artist, writer, and lecturer. It includes 1 letter written by her, and more letters written to her (one of which is written and signed by Archabbot Boniface Krug). It also includes a photograph of Eliza giving a lecture using images of Monte Cassino in Buffalo, New York to the Alumni of Holy Angels Academy, as well as a program from an art lecture she gave in 1898 (possibly the same as is pictured). Eliza Allen Star wrote an article in 1897 on Monte Cassino and Archabbot Boniface Krug, the brother of Mother Theresa Krug, which may be why her correspondence is included in Mother Theresa Krug's papers.
