Sister Arnoldine Schwarz embroidery samplers, circa 1955
Scope and Contents
This series is made up of two huck cloth towels that Sister Arnoldine Schwarz, OSB embroidered with Swedish motifs using cotton and metal thread. The designs are suitable for decorative borders. It is done in such a way that the stitches show on the front of the cloth only. They reprent items T55 and T56 in the inventory of the archives' textiles.
