Scope and Contents
This series relates to Sister Mary Ann Fleischmann, OSB's participation in the world outside of her monastic community. There are pages of community theater productions and in Quincy, Illinois and convention ribbons from before she entered the Benedictine Sisters. There is a piece of paper with her notary public seal and her 1943-1944 schedule with duties from Saint Scholastica High School. Reflecting her passion for Chicago sports is an honorary draft certificate for the Chicago Black Hawks. Included is the transcript of a talk given by Helene Wallace Scheid (SSHS 1948) at her parish in which she describes how Sister Mary Ann Fleischmann, OSB tutored her in preparation to be baptized as a Catholic and receive communion.

Conditions Governing Access
Monastery records are restricted for 50 years after creation. Sisters' papers are restricted for 50 years after the Sister's death. Photographs, previously published, and widely distributed materials are unrestricted. In this collection, Sister's correpondence and academic transcripts are restricted; everything else is open for research.
