Scope and Contents

This sub-series is primarily comprised of lists of Sisters who taught vacation schools in Alamosa, Colorado. The Benedictine Sisters of Chicago had a large presence in the town, especially earlier in the 20th century. A pamphlet about the history of the Sacred Heart Church, a copy of some pages from "Our Community," and an Archives Newsletter are also included.

Scope and Contents This sub-series contains a sheet of oral history stories from the Benedictine Sisters of Chicago's time in Crested Butte, Colorado. Originally St. Patrick Church, Sisters would later run vacation schools out of Queen of All Saints. The latter's architecture was beautiful enough to warrent a story in the Southern Colorado Register, which is also included. A photograph of two Sisters, a priest, and several children are believed to be from Crested Butte's 1937 session. Some undated, square...
