Scope and Contents
The collection includes a newspaper clipping and alumni newsletter, photos of the school and Sisters, a Salpointe reunion book and Gercke School dedication book, a list of Sisters who taught at Salpointe from 1950-1993, a plaque dedication invitation and program, and an ad for schooling in Tucson. It also includes Horizons, Salpointe's yearbook, from 1953-1956.

Biographical / Historical
Salpointe High School is a co-ed Catholic high school founded in 1950 in Tucson, Arizona. It was originally founded and staffed by the Sisters of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Sisters of Charity of Seton Hill, and Sisters of St. Joseph, with the Sisters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul, Carmelites, and Benedictines later joining. It became a four-year high school in 1951, and in 1955, the Gercke School of Vocational Arts was opened. It is still open in Tucson today.
