Sister Georgine Hodnik pronounced her perpetual vows in 1932, observed her golden jubilee in 1982, and observed her diamond jubilee in 1992. Sister Georgine received her first degree from DePaul University for music. She continued to study music, theology, and teaching throughout her career. She was a dedicated teacher and administrator at many schools, and her instruction often included piano and organ lessons. Sister Georgine was an organist and taught the Gregorian chant. Her love of art compelled her to create her own beautiful works as well as encourage her students to experiment with many different mediums under her tutelage.
