Correspondence, 1955-1996
This series includes correspondence to and from Sister Elizabeth, as well as some notes recieved posthumously. It contains numerous notable hand-made cards and letters, one of which includes a Native American arrowhead. Another highlight is a letter from a former student of hers at Mother of God School, whom she corresponded with years later when he was missioned in Papua New Guinea.
Biology notes, circa 1947
This series consists of Sister's handwritten, typed, and illustrated biology notes, either produced when she was serving as a biology teacher, or as a student at DePaul University, where she earned a MS in biology in 1949.
Calligraphy and design, circa 1955-1995
This sub-series consists primarily of Sister Elizabeth's calligraphic lettering and design works. Sister was a student of Sister Celestine Fischer, OSB, and herself produced illustrated lettering and manuscript art used in community christmas cards, jubilee worship aid programs, the Archives Newsletter masthead, and more. Also included in this series are 3 handmade christmas cards by Sister, featuring the nativity scene made of either small colored stones or Japanese maple seeds.
