The oldest item in this collection is a photograph of a group of students in front of Saint Mary's Academy circa 1900. The 105 label on the photograph was assigned by Sister Ignatia O'Connor for her 1961 Centennial exhibit. Most of the material is from the late 20th century.

This collections consists of biographical information. It includes a personal data sheet, photographs, archival research correspondence, a photocopied vow sheet, biographical notes, information on her nearest of kin, and more biographical data from photocopied articles and books.

Scope and Contents From the Collection: The materials in this collection were gathered over the years by Prioresses and archivists and held in the monastery and school libraries as reference materials. Mother Theresa Krug, OSB, whose brother was the abbot of the Abbey of Monte Cassino probably contributed the earliest material. Sister Ignatia O'Connor, OSB gathered some of it for a display at the 1961 centennial of the Benedictine Sisters of Chicago.
