Scope and Contents

Within this collection of felt banners there is a set of banners made for the church year, banners with phrases associated with the church and encouraging faith, and banners with religious symbols. Common symbols in this collection include the white dove, the Chi Ro symbol, and the symbols for the Lord's Supper like wheat, grapes, and a chalice. Sister Georgine created banners throughout her life using a combination of felt and burlap.

Included in this collection are photographs of Sister Georgine throughout her lifetime, including those taken while she was a young student at St. Scholastica Academy. Photographs also show many of her banners. Other artwork present in her file includes her work with calligraphy and small felt works. Personal data in this collection includes a next of kin list, newspaper articles, correspondences, education credentials and certificates, obituaries, and worship aids.

Scope and Contents

This sub-series contains a list of Sisters who taught in Telluride, Colorado, during several summers between 1931 and 1978. Three news stories about St. Patrick Church appear alongside a postcard, map of the area, and some images taken by Sr. Eleanore Hillenbrand, OSB, during an archives trip she and Sr. Vivian Ivantic, OSB, took to Colorado in 1989.
