Canon History Article, circa 2001
Scope and Contents
This collection contains condensed histories and timelines of the Benedictine Sisters of Chicago. Some were prepared by the archivist, Sister Vivian Ivantic, OSB as research aids or at the request of community and school leadership. Others were prepared for Monastic Visitation packages or by the Development Office of the two sponsored high schools. The earliest chronology comes from the end material of the book-length community history, Where There Was Need, by Sister Genevieve Harrison, OSB. Others were prepared by the Development Offices of Saint Scholastica High School in Chicago and Saint Scholastica Academy in Canon City.
