Family trees of the Benedictine houses descended from St. Walburg Abbey in Eichstätt, Bavaria and/or descended from St. Joseph Monastery in St. Marys, Pennsylvania. There are also several maps showing the locations of houses of Benedictine women and men in North America. One set of family trees includes Benedictine houses descended from Maria-Rickenbach Monastery in Oberdorf, Switzerland.

Scope and Contents

This sub-series includes the calendar, itinerary, postcards, and notes of an research trip that the archivist, Sister Vivian Ivantic, OSB made to Benedictine houses in the Eastern United States. Sister Eleanore Hillenbrand, OSB and Sister Mary Frances Schermerhorn accompanied her. They also visited Sister Karen Bland, OSB who was on the staff of Wheeling Jesuit College in Wheeling, West Virginia.

This sub-series contains two booklets related to the history of Saint Mary's Church in Saint Marys, Pennsylvania. This parish church was attached to St. Joseph Monastery. Mary's Legacy was published to celebrate the Marian year 1987-1988. The other booklet is the worship aid for the rededication of the church on November 21, 1992.

Written for the Diamond Jubilee (1844-1919) of Saint Mary's Parish by Rev. Remigius Burgemeister, OSB. Some of the images in this book were part of the 1961 Centennial Exhibit at Saint Scholastica Monastery. Sister Ignatia O'Connor taped the book back together after use.
