Scope and Contents

This sub-series is primarily comprised of lists of Sisters who taught vacation schools in Alamosa, Colorado. The Benedictine Sisters of Chicago had a large presence in the town, especially earlier in the 20th century. A pamphlet about the history of the Sacred Heart Church, a copy of some pages from "Our Community," and an Archives Newsletter are also included.

Scope and Contents This sub-series contains a document listing the Sisters who taught vacation schools in Erie, Colorado, along with which years they were present in the town. Unlike the lists in many other sub-series, this paper is a description of Sisters' living quarters during the summer of 1943 and 1944. Also included is an image of Sr. Vivian Ivantic, OSB; Sr. Jeanne Hegarty, OSB; and Marion Greely, St. Scholastica Church's caretaker, outside the parish during a 1989 archives trip to Colorado. This sub-series contains many photos and several news clippings relating to vacation schools the Benedictine Sisters of Chicago taught in Minturn, Colorado, from the late 1930s to late 1970s. Most material was produced during the 1950s.

Scope and Contents

This sub-series contains an archives note listing the Sisters who taught vacation schools in Rocky Ford, Colorado, along with a couple news clippings of events relating to the Benedictine Sisters of Chicago's presence in the town. Also included is a photograph of several pupils from one summer, although the year is unknown, and it appears they do not comprise the whole class, as there are more children cut off on the right left side of the frame.
