This sub-series is primarily comprised of lists of Sisters who taught vacation schools in Alamosa, Colorado. The Benedictine Sisters of Chicago had a large presence in the town, especially earlier in the 20th century. A pamphlet about the history of the Sacred Heart Church, a copy of some pages from "Our Community," and an Archives Newsletter are also included.
Biographical Information, 1942 - 2020
This series begins with a baby portrait of Sr. Mary Ann O'Ryan, OSB, and includes photographs from her family and community life as well as teaching and travel. It contains worship aids and documents from her vows, installation as Prioress and funeral with the homily of Sr. Judith Murphy, OSB, and comments by Sr. Laura Walker, OSB. at her installation as Prioress at age 40 in 1962. It also holds lists of her various assignments as educator.
